Fall Parties!

It was almost 80 degrees out today here in New York, so I’m starting to have a hard time believing it’s Fall.  Whatever the weather says, it’s still time for fun showroom openings and parties.  Last Thursday I had the pleasure of attending two events: one for Eskayel and one for Élitis.  Both of these events were great but they were very different from one another.

The invite from Élitis came in an interesting cube shape, while the invite from Eskayel was a more minimalist presentation.  The first showroom opening I attended was for Élitis.

Elitis ShowroomÉlitis’ showroom is located in the Decoration and Design Building in Manhattan.  The showroom was reserved for people working in the design industry, and was closed off to the public because of the location.  After I said all my greetings, the first thing I noticed when I walked in was the beautiful bar and food arrangement (including a macaroon tower!).

There was a huge selection of new products that I loved.  They also had ready-made pillows that were attractive while still being reasonably priced.

The last thing to do was to grab a gift bag.  Their gift bag was a nice soft blue and included a cute little satin notebook.

After leaving, I headed to Williamsburg where Eskayel was throwing an outdoor party in there storefront.

The entryway

This event was much more casual than the Élitis showing.  The refreshments here were a cheese plate, pretzels, and wine.

The Eskayel products are more open to the public and can simply be purchased on their website.  Their new products had a very contemporary style, and showed a lot of innovative ideas.  This showed even in the gift bag they left us with, which were all individually hand dyed.  I chose one that had a nice island feel to it.  They also included some great custom postcards to send out.20161017_141650

These events almost felt like opposites.  At one, we were given elegant macaroon towers, and at the other, we were told to have a little party outdoors.  I had fun at both events and learned a lot, and these gift bags were both beautiful!

I’m looking forward to helping you design your homes with these new arrivals.
